WebIt started with biting my nails when I was a child. My mother told me to stop, so instead, I bit the skin around my fingernails. That progressed. Hard. I write this with bloodied, torn hands after limping to the bathroom to continue my average night after tearing my foot apart with a compass point. It's reflex to me now.
