WebDec 5, 2024 · I’ll start with the widow maker (Firestone RH-5°) part of the question. This outer rim is first referenced in 1948 wheel catalogs. It was termed an “Advanced Design” rim and was the dominant rim used by Ford, GM, and Studebaker throughout the 1950s and 1960s. I have no record of them having been used by Dodge or IHC. I've seen plenty of posts on finding replacements for the 5 lug widowmakers on the smaller F5 - F6 trucks, but nothing on the F7 - F8.
