Web7 jan. 2024 · USB-C docking station audio issues. I'm stumped by this one. So I bought a USB-C docking station and everything works fine except the audio. When I plug my external speakers into the 3.5mm jack, they work fine. BUT, when I plug in an external monitor via HDMI, they no longer work - the audio defaults back to the laptop speakers. WebOn Windows, open up the command prompt and type "getmac" and it'll tell you the mac addressess. You can also dock your computer and type in "ipconfig -all" and it will show you all your ethernet ports and their mac addresses. Thanks - did no know about the getmac command. Looks like my docking station only has one.
