WebbSpence is part of the generation of Indigenous women who are educated in western society, but firmly rooted in their culture. She is a student at the University of Winnipeg and is set to graduate this spring with a major in international development. "I really enjoy the degree that I got in school — international development. WebbThey are set for 11:00 AM CDT and include an Inuit throat singing performance, pow wow fit class, Metis dance lessons, and hand drum tutorials. They'll be hosted by singer/songwriter Ila Barker and led by throat singing duo PIQSIQ, hoop dancer Shanley Spence, the Ivan Flett Memorial Dancers, and the incredible Fawn Wood.
